The Laboratory for Entrepreneurship and Transformation (LET) is a community focused on impacting actively the public sphere, through the promotion and development of public entrepreneurship initiatives. It works through a system based on a trans-disciplinary collaboration model, that enables all kinds of resources aimed to reach and transform more lives.

We recruit the most committed individuals, only those willing to transform  lives. Innovation and entrepreneurship are not the result of methodologies or physical spaces, but of human effort, talent and perseverance. We do not criticize or judge the ideas of entrepreneurs. We help them to achieve their objectives and generate the meaningful social impact that we seek.

WE ENABLE

We provide our entrepreneurs with a vast array of resources, that allow them to reach the full potential of their initiatives. We empower them to carry out research, and we accompany them through their validation processes as they meet experts, makers (designers, programmers, engineers, etc.), funding sources, allies and scalability opportunities.

WE COLLABORATE

We are a community that collaborates. We share knowledge and experiences within trans-disciplinary teams. We don’t gather around roundtables and networking meetings: we make friends and work seriously on long-term projects until we achieve the expected results. Together.

WE EXPERIMENT

We work with flexible models, focused on running experiments and executing, without fear of not succeeding  on the first attempt. However, we take care of our resources by anticipating risks and coping with failure.

WE SHOW RESULTS

We focus on high-impact projects that benefit the greatest possible number of people. We devise and implement these projects, and measure their impact. The legitimacy of our work is in its results, and these establish our reputation.

PUBLIC ENTREPRENEURSHIP

Public entrepreneurship initiatives are innovative social initiatives that find in government a natural ally, in order to transform public policies. Public entrepreneurship initiatives function as levers for governments, allowing them to act more efficiently and achieve their economic and social development goals.

Public entrepreneurs are individuals with knowledge, power, influence and skills to exploit opportunities and find new ways to address social problems. They also have the ability to promote and communicate their solutions within public policy makers. A public entrepreneur works from outside the formal government system, with a fresh perspective and a flexible point of view,to introduce, translate and implement innovative ideas in the public sectors.

Public entrepreneurs also aim to unleash a dynamic change in politics, by fostering communities of active citizens and educating voters on how to ensure the efficiency and effectivity of the public leaders and institutions that work to improve the people’s living conditions. Public entrepreneurship links public servants, citizens and civic associations, among others, in order to organize and co-create solutions to governance challenges.
