Nina is full of curiosity and empathy, making her the second design thinker on the team. Currently she is enrolled in an adult education programme to become a “refugee consultant” and has been selected as a startup fellow at the enpact programme to further develop Bazaar.
With an academic and professional background in film production, new media and UX design in games, she is a storyteller and dedicated to creating the best possible user experience for people to share their stories, skills and knowledge.
While studying for her Masters, she had the opportunity to be a design researcher in Lebanon working with migrant workers, create a communication toolkit in Cape Town with township communities and work on a service design project in a remote Mayan village on the Yucatán peninsula in Mexico.
At Bazaar Nina focuses on creating a holistic design and user experience and works closely with the supporting graphic and interaction designers.
She also is a self-proclaimed ping pong queen and a leftovers master chef!
